Role:

As a 3D Web Programmer at LOOKOUT, you will develop 3D web user interfaces for augmented reality boat navigation systems in collaboration with our computer vision experts. For this role, you will leverage A-Frame and Three.js on an Orin Jetson AGX hardware platform. You will create 3D user interfaces for augmented reality that seamlessly integrate with marine navigation systems, providing an unmatched user experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Using A-Frame and Three.js, create 3D web-based User Interfaces, fusing data from computer vision, radar, AIS, and charts for marine navigation.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize 3D graphics for performance.
  • Work with UI/UX designers to ensure the navigation system is intuitive, enhancing situational awareness for boaters.
  • Engage in field testing to iterate and refine system performance based on real-world feedback.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Deep knowledge of Three.js and shader programming.
  • Proficiency in augmented reality development and spatial computing.
  • Experience integrating GIS data (world-scale topo data) into real-time visualization systems.
  • Boating experience or a keen interest in marine navigation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
