San Diego, United States Phase 3 Real Estate Partners, Inc. Full time

Real estate developer in San Diego is looking for a full time Contract Paralegal. This is not an entry level position and requires someone with a high attention to detail, autonomy to self-manage ensuring contracts, amendments, and other legal documents are completed with accuracy and retained in the correct locations. This position is an opportunity to be a part of an active, growing real estate private equity platform focused on the development of life science projects. The role includes assisting different company verticals with their contract preparation and review needs. 


Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating, editing, reviewing, sorting, executing and verifying contracts
  • Manage the flow of contracts within the organization and to outside vendors
  • Update and maintain digital library to ensure required compliance and standards are met
  • Maintain internal contract logs for vendors and tenants
  • Create and manage templates for internal use
  • Manage acquisition, disposition, and loan closing documentation
  • Create closing binders after an acquisition, debt financing, or asset sale
  • Ensure forms are correct, complete, and returned in a timely fashion
  • Assist leasing, construction, asset management, and property management teams with all contract requirements.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects as needed


Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university with a Legal, Accounting or Business degree required, certification as a Paralegal is preferred
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience document control and/or paralegal like experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) and .pdf applications
  • Experience with cloud-based document storage and management
  • Real estate experience is a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively and ask clarifying questions
  • Commitment to deadlines and proactive in following a calendar
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical abilities
  • Proactive thinker, detail-oriented and solution driven.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States for a minimum of 5 years.
  • This position is based in San Diego, position requires you to be in office
