Summary Description

The receptionist position is primarily responsible for answering and directing incoming telephone calls, greeting guests/visitors, and assisting with the sorting and distribution of daily mail. Providing friendly and efficient customer service is a key attribute for this role. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities

The receptionist position is responsible for receiving office telephone calls and directing them to the appropriate employee or department, along with sorting incoming mail and preparing external mailings. This role is also responsible for greeting in-office guests and providing them with visitor badges for the facility. Additional tasks may include, but are not limited to, typing letters or business correspondences, validating the clerical accuracy of certain reports, and helping with other assigned office tasks. Dependability, friendliness, and a willingness to help are qualities required for this role. The position also requires being on-site at the Maumee, Ohio office.    

 

Employment Standards

Education/    Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in an organization performing

Experience:   comparable duties and/or operating a telephone switchboard are preferred, but not required. 

 

Skill:              Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication; typing accurately and quickly; following oral and written instructions; working well with others and maintaining a willingness to help and problem solve; learning to operate standard office equipment (telephone switchboard, computer, copy machine, fax machine).
