This role oversees engineering design and development for component preparation services, collaborating closely with leadership to drive strategic initiatives and uphold performance standards for industry-leading operations.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic direction and oversight to an engineering team, coordinating daily activities, implementing productivity-enhancing policies, and fostering individual and team technical growth through mentorship.
  • Developing and enhancing manufacturing processes to support company scalability and business value, meeting or surpassing company objectives through effective management of development activities.
  • Demonstrating strong decision-making abilities, leadership, and effective communication skills to drive continuous improvement and ensure adherence to lean manufacturing practices.
  • Leading the conception, planning, and implementation of automation-driven equipment and processes to boost productivity and optimize capital investments.
  • Ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards, sourcing equipment, designing tooling, and integrating robotic technologies to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Researching and integrating cutting-edge processing technologies into business operations, collaborating with sales, quality, and production teams to align customer requirements with company capabilities.
  • Providing customer support, conducting product validations, and exploring new vendor partnerships for outsourcing and quality assurance.
  • Contributing to industry advancement through white paper publications, participating in seminars, and shaping industry regulations.
  • Operating with integrity and ethical standards, with a security clearance as a beneficial asset.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in materials science (e.g., metallurgy), chemistry, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SnPb and SAC305 soldering, robotic hot solder dip processes, and gold mitigation techniques.
  • Over 10 years of experience in semiconductor assembly and/or PCB assembly operations, with proven career progression into managerial roles. Thorough understanding of semiconductor packaging technologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards including GEIA-STD-0006, MIL-STD-883, AS9100, and ISO 9001 pertaining to quality management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality tools such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and related methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Solidworks or similar engineering 3D design and CAD tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of effective professional correspondence and presentations.
