Currently seeking a Structural Engineer Manager for an employee-owned firm based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This would be an opportunity to lead an incredible team of talented individuals, bring in new work, work with existing clients on some exciting projects and have the opportunity to grow and upscale the company With an in-depth knowledge of the design, construction, investigation, and/or repair of various new and existing structures, you will pursue the projects you would like to work on, foster client relationships, manage projects, manage a team below you and work in a collaborative environment where you will mentor up-and-coming staff, all while still getting to do the hands-on technical work you are passionate about. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects involving steel, concrete, timber and masonry, including new buildings, historical restoration and renovation of existing buildings. Responsibilities: Collaboration with interdisciplinary project teams, including providing expertise for a variety of structural engineering projects (e.g., investigation, troubleshooting and repair of existing systems; and design, detailing, and specialty consulting for new systems) Project management, including client development, project scoping, assembling and managing appropriate project teams, maintaining project schedules and budgets, and managing client expectations and deliverables Contributions to company-wide objectives through mentoring, participation in office and company research and development initiatives. Oversee bidding process (both public and private). Construction administration, including field/ site visits and ability to solve problems that may arise during construction. Complies with codes and regulations by applying and enforcing adherence to regulations and testing requirements; advising management on needed actions. Qualifications: 6+ years experience in the industry Experience in investigation, design, analysis, and/or repair of various new and existing structural materials such as wood, concrete, steel, masonry) PE or SE license required Bachelors or Master degree in civil/structural engineering or related field.
