Bilingual Youth Specialist

Insight Global currently has multiple bilingual childcare focused openings in the Windsor Mill area, openings include:

• Bilingual Youth Care Professionals (multiple openings and multiple shifts)
• Bilingual Recreational Coordinator
• Bilingual Teacher's Aide

Each role is on-site in Windsor Mill, MD and will be working directly with unaccompanied children.

Qualifications Needed for each role:

• Bilingual (English/ Spanish) highly preferred

• Experience working directly with children, ideally experienced with trauma-informed care and/or refugees, child welfare or social services

Youth Care Professional:

Provides mentorship, coaching, and support to children, aged 12-17 years old, in a shelter setting. They will be in charge of supervision of children at all times through all program activities and follow all program rules and procedures. They will utilize program approved plans to teach children useful skills such as social skills and relationship building. You will be responsible for completing important documentation such as shift logs, bed checks, incident reports as well as taking care of the overall health and wellness of the children in care.

Recreational Coordinator: (This role requires a Bachelors Degree)

As a recreational coordinator, this individual will be tasked with creating daily activities and programming for youth of various ages. This individual should be able to create activities ranging from different outdoor sports, arts and crafts and indoor activities. This individual will be working with different groups throughout the day and should be prepared to have different activities for each group on a daily basis. They will also be collaborating with other recreational coordinators from other programs for joint activities. They will also be responsible for reporting to operations coordinator regarding their planned activities in order to receive funding and/or manage any logistics.

Teachers Aide: (This role requires a Bachelors Degree)

You will assist the teacher in all day-to-day activities which include but are not limited to, creating lesson plans, creating progress reports on challenges and successes in the classroom with students, strong understanding of course material to be able to teach if in the event that the teacher is absent. This individual will also be responsible for helping the teacher manage behaviors of students and ensure they are engaged in all learning activities and assignments. This role has the potential to require working with an adjacent program within the school, so the ideal individual should feel comfortable in their ability to work across programs and in a fast-paced environment. Lastly, maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment and completing required documentation such as educational assessments, daily reports and significant incident reports.
