Global Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Intern

It's the sweetest time of year again here at Krispy Kreme Our 10-week internship is designed for rising juniors, seniors, and grad students looking to make full use of their talents with a hands-on work experience. Throughout your time during your internship program, you will tackle meaningful projects that leave a lasting impact; you will receive support and guidance from your manager along with interaction with members of our Global Leadership Team. Your internship will continue to develop your business acumen and professional skills.
Krispy Kreme’s Global Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Intern will partner closely with our Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory team to assist with the program development and implementation through projects in a variety of areas including compliance, audits, risk management, standards, supplier approval, technical data management, and behavior-based food safety and quality culture. We are looking for a summer intern that is excited to join our team and motivated by creating a culture of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Here's a taste of what you’ll be doing:
- Assist in maintaining global standards, technical data management, ingredient and process hazard analysis, food safety plans, and food safety/quality management programs.
- Assist in development of food safety and quality culture plan.
- Track audit findings for shops, raw material suppliers, and manufacturing mix plants to drive CAPA closures.
- Develop new global standards and procedures to be applied to joint ventures and partners.
- Ad-Hoc projects that may include maturity assessments, GFSI certification, SOP implementation, new market openings, and nutritional menu development, among others.
Your recipe for success:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Baking Science, or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on certain projects.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Ability to work in a hybrid (remote and in-office) environment.
