About the Role:
We are seeking a Director of Infection Prevention to lead infection control efforts at a 600+ bed regional medical center. This role is responsible for developing and managing infection prevention programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of specialists to protect patient and staff safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee infection control policies and programs in compliance with TJC, CMS, OSHA, and state regulations.
- Lead surveillance, outbreak investigations, and infection risk management.
- Educate staff on infection prevention protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with the CDC, local health departments, and senior leadership on infection-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Public Health preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in infection control, with leadership experience in a large acute care facility.
- Licensure/Certification: Active RN license (Georgia preferred) and CIC certification required.
- Leadership: At least 2 years in a leadership role, managing teams and infection prevention operations.
