Job Description

We are looking to hire a motivated and enthusiastic Outside Sales Representative to join our team. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new commercial leads and driving new permanent sales. To be a successful Outside Sales Representative, you should be persuasive and have excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
  • Service existing clients.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the metal recycling industry.
  • Meet established goals for territory development and sales quotas.
  • Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product and service needs.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any hardships that may arise.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high paced environment.
  • Ability to solve problems and/or customer complaints.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field preferred but not required.
  • At least two years’ experience in cold call sales with a proven track record.
  • Basic knowledge of metals or manufacturing industry.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to travel six or more hours a day.
