Job Title - Technical Project Manager Level IV (HR Technology)

Location – Menlo Park,CA - Remote

Duration - 9 months contract

Pay Rate - $80.00 - $85.00/hr. on W2 without benefits.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain technical project plans, GSD boards, and SteerCo presentations to manage milestones, risks, and timelines and drive and coordinate project activity.
  • Document the development and sprint schedule, deployment plan, incident management and response time, risks and mitigation plans, change management timeline, and data and analytics development.
  • Drive the sprint plans, monitor tasks, resourcing capacity, and overall velocity, story points, and burndown rate to monitor delivery progress.
  • Develop project governance and stakeholder engagement plans to collaborate and drive execution with high performance teams and stakeholders.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
  • Provide users with technical support for computer problems.
  • Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.
  • Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
  • Supports facilitating User Acceptance Testing “UAT” and documents reported bugs, data/reporting requests, and tool content change requests.
  • Support change management as needed, and consulting on the prioritization.

  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, Workday, Salesforce, ADP


Deliverables:

  • Develop user story points by adding scoping information to enhancement requests, including impact score according to impact scoring rubric.
  • Solution Design Document and UAT test plans and scripts.
  • Well-maintained backlog of enhancement, tool content change, data/reporting, and bugs request tasks with appropriate tags, additional information, and timely status updates.
  • Project charters/one pagers that detail scope, problem statements, goals, stakeholders, and resources needed for project execution.
  • RACI: clear definition and communication of roles, responsibilities and expectations for all members of the project team
  • Resource plan: obtain and define project staffing requirements and project team structure.
  • Project plan: Develop project plan with ENG, HRT, and business deliverables needed to meet the project goals to provide direction and leadership to team members. This includes detailed project schedules and work plans, critical project milestones, and mitigation plans to resolve schedule issues.
  • Governance & Project documentation materials: Develop presentations for project kick-off meetings and SteerCo presentations.
  • Action Log: Record, track and communicate action items & owners, monitor issues, risks, changes.
  • Status reports: Provide current and forecasted project progress, resource needs, assessment of project performance and plans to ensure the projects remains within specified cost, schedule, scope, and quality objectives.
  • Backlog: Document and prioritize technical enhancements needed for the next sprint/program to inform future roadmap planning or BAU delivery
  • Postmortem: Conduct and document retrospectives including all project documentation for closure, storage, and possible auditing activities, ensuring technical accuracy


Must-Have Skills

  • Technical skills - HR tech (workday, ADP, salesforce, oracle, fusion, PeopleSoft)
  • Technical project management
  • End to end delivery (0-1 creation of project)


Nice-to-have Skills.

  • AI or ML experience
  • Workday certification/Salesforce certification / Safe certification / agile certification / PMP
