We’re searching for a qualified Senior Certified Financial Planner to join us in providing a balanced combination of professional investment management and personalized financial planning. The ideal candidate shares our commitment to carefully guided decision-making for portfolio management, retirement planning, tax minimization, risk management, budgeting, generational wealth education, and charitable giving. As a member of our advisory team, the Financial Planner will work with other professionals and continually focus on sharpening the skills and knowledge that put us at the top of our industry.

Our financial planner should be an effective communicator who is highly analytical, and customer oriented with experience in financial planning. If you’re analytical, meticulous, and customer-oriented, we’d like to meet you.


Objectives of this role

· Be an integral member of the advisory team and provide financial planning and investment advice to clients ranging in age and wealth.

· Conduct research and develop personal financial plans.

· Take primary responsibility for all aspects of a client relationship, working closely to fully understand the financial situation and requirements.

· Review documents, analyze client situations, and identify actionable insights

· Execute accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations.

· Build holistic models and plans that integrate personal and business planning

· Comply with national and local financial regulations by studying existing and proposed legislation.

· Execute, maintain, and update client models, programs, and plans


Responsibilities

· Utilize the firm’s client-centered wealth management philosophy to develop sound financial plans for our clients.

· Develop, consult, and implement complex personal and business plans for clients

· Conducts and review research, as appropriate, and develop financial analyses and plans

· Provide recommendations to team and participate in recommendation presentations to clients and clients’ advisors

· Analyze financial, accounting, and other related information to develop personal and business plans

· Build customizable Excel models or update existing templates to model varying options

· Evaluate clients’ financial documents including their income, expenses, and liabilities.

· Construct and analyze cash flow analyses

· Communicate potential impact to various plans based on client decisions, business assumptions, market environment, and policy changes

· Offer support and guidance in financial and investment planning.

· Identify planning opportunities, including charitable donations

· Customize financial plans according to clients’ changing needs.

· Update client wealth plans with updates from source data

· Help clients implement their plans and carry out transactions.

· Monitor changes in tax laws and developments in financial strategies, particularly with respect to financial plans, trusts, and estate plans

· Collaborate with other professionals to develop a client’s entire financial roadmap.

· Build strong relationships to retain existing clients.

· Maintain updated knowledge of regulations, practices, and financial products.

· Collaborates in the acquisition of new clients and retains, expands and deepens existing relationships.


Requirements and skills

· Proven experience as financial planner or similar role; experience in sales or customer service is an asset.

· Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to foster long-term relationships.

· Ability to analyze financial information and comply with regulations.

· Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems

· Attention to detail and excellent presentation skills.

· Strong ethics, with a customer-oriented attitude

· Valid professional license (e.g. Series 7, 65, or 66)

· Experience with financial planning software.

· BSc/BA in accounting, finance, business administration or relevant field; professional certification (e.g. CFP) is required.

· Four to six years of related experience

· Estate tax planning, tax planning, and wealth transfer knowledge
