The Welder/Service Technician will be responsible for welding, assembly, and maintenance of industrial machinery and tools. This role requires technical expertise in welding and mechanical repairs, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and service complex equipment. Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair machine parts, tools, and equipment according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and service mechanical and hydraulic systems on industrial machinery.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop solutions for equipment modifications and upgrades.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Document work performed, including repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in welding and mechanical service in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and gear systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with fabrication, machining, and assembly of metal parts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
