Implementation Engineer, robotics & mixed reality


Are you passionate about turning cutting-edge robotic and mixed reality technologies into value added applications and looking to advance your career as an Implementation Engineer? We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. 

As an Implementation Engineer, you will be an integral part of our Innovation Services, responsible for projects centered around the development, testing, and implementation of solutions to improve Asset Integrity Management in the energy sector. You will be involved in the full cycle of the planning and execution of projects to ensure successful delivery to our clients. We use technologies such as non-destructive testing, robotics, mixed reality, data analytics and business intelligence tools. You will collaborate intensively with our technology- and service partners.


Your responsibilities:

• Conduct testing, validation and innovation projects to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of robotic systems and help implement innovations that make solutions better

• Collaborate with stakeholders 

• Ensure technical and operational feasibility of projects

• Learn to operate a wide range of robotic systems and payloads that are being deployed for inspection and maintenance work

• Support integration and management of change at client facilities

• Provide training to clients

• Carry out field trials and pilots

• Manage a portfolio of activities in support of the SPRINT Robotics Collaborative 

• Successfully execute and deliver projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope

• Writing of project proposals, in close communication with the stakeholders 

• Coordinating internal and external tasks and activities to successfully execute and deliver projects 


Your profile:

• Technical background, BSc/MSc level, preferably in the field of engineering, science or mechatronics 

• At least three years practical experience with new technologies in technical/operational environment, preferably in petrochemical or energy industry 

• Excellent presentation and client-facing skills 

• Hands-on engineering experience in robotics testing and validation

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent soft skills and awareness of the needs of stakeholders across many cultures and nationalities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – business-proficient and fluent in English

• Willingness to travel and execute field work trials

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects 

• Attention to detail, prioritize and consistently meet deadlines  

• A proactive and positive attitude, able to work independently and as a team player, willing to help 

• The ability to pivot and juggle changing work priorities in a fast-paced environment 

• A curiosity for robotics systems and innovation in the energy sector
