AccuAir, Inc., a Florida HVAC Engineered Products Plan and Spec Representative and Distributor, is seeking an HVAC Sales and Product Manager to manage sales and support of engineered HVAC products sales for use in education, industrial and commercial buildings. This position is responsible for managing sales and products through coordination with outside sales personnel and manufacturers, and by providing value add services to customers and end users. This position is a management position requiring an enthusiastic difference maker with a driven focus on business and personal growth. The Company’s management and ownership is committed to providing the necessary support and resources for this growth. 

 

The position includes typical responsibilities associated with HVAC equipment sales and product support, including but not limited to assisting sales and customer service to promote, sell and support project owners, architects, and engineers by assisting with selecting appropriate equipment based upon owner requirements, energy efficiency, code requirements, and cost/benefit analysis. The position assists other team members with marketing/sales efforts by utilizing a deep technical understanding of equipment performance and design requirements, both preliminarily during general product presentations and more detailed during project specific design coordination. Additionally the position will have oversight with service/warranty for customers and owners including coordinating field troubleshooting, technical training, warranty coordination, and other value add services required during install and ongoing maintenance through the life of the equipment.

 

The Sales and Product Manager’s duties will include but not be limited to:

 

·        Using a high level of customer service throughout the HVAC sales and project coordination process to fully serve owners, engineers, architects and contractors, resulting in long term loyal business relationships and excellent customer satisfaction.

·        Using a strong ability with building relationships and listening, utilize a proactive approach in identifying customer prospects and implementing a path forward to onboard new customers

·        Have detailed knowledge of various types of commercial/industrial HVAC products allowing for him/her to assist with sales opportunities to potential customers that utilize similar or other system types; At a minimum he/she will have knowledge of commercial DX equipment, ventilation systems, VAV systems, and chilled water systems.

·        Have a deep understanding of the technical requirements of HVAC equipment selections applied to specific project applications and requirements.

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with manufacturers, employees and customers to resolve as quickly as possible, resulting in trust with engineering, owner, and contracting customers.

·        Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·        Have a willingness to travel throughout the Florida peninsula. Travel will be required approximately 15-25%, other times this position will be located in our Orlando office (June 2024 relocation from Apopka). 

·        Be highly organized and able to multi-task, and assisting direct reports with organization and prioritization on a daily and weekly basis, as necessary.

·        Utilize his/her knowledge, experience and other resources to make quick and accurate decisions.

·        Has a strong interest in professional development and growth, both immediate or long term, within the Company with additional responsibility and compensation; Rate of growth will be based upon his/her independent ability to identify and secure new opportunities and/or manage projects and team members.

·        Self-motivated and initiates learning & development by keeping abreast with product and code developments, changes in products and product lines, monitor competitive threats, and discuss proper response and reaction

  • Identify product gaps, develop solutions to minimize the impact, and work with Product Management to prioritize and eliminate gaps. Understanding inefficiency within current workflow and processes to better service customers by improving process between acquisition and fulfillment. Supporting our field support personnel by being the liaison to the office and improving processes for project handoff for execution.

·        Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·        Passion and drive for professional and business growth

·        3+ years of experience in sales engineering of HVAC systems and management of a sales and/or service team

·        Detailed knowledge of HVAC equipment and building HVAC system design

 

A company vehicle allowance, phone, and all travel expenses are paid for by the Company for all business related travel. Competitive compensation will include a base salary plus performance bonus. Compensation will be performance based and will be commensurate with experience and sales, plus a significant 401k contribution (no employee match required) and fully paid medical insurance for employee.
