Overview

Resia delivers thoughtfully designed apartments that provide comfort and peace of mind. Resia Pods is a subsidiary of Resia that will be leasing a plant to produce Pods for use in the multi-family communities.
As part of our team, you will collaborate vertically from design & development to the plant floor to design systems that will contribute to build our product while insuring process optimization and product quality.
Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of the manufacturing processes within the organization. This role involves collaborating with various teams to design, develop, and optimize production systems and procedures. The Manufacturing Engineer applies engineering principles and expertise to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will develop assembly documentation throughout the production process to ensure key performance metrics are achieved throughout the facility. You must take an enterprise approach to supporting the manufacturing of the plant working cross-functionally with other departments.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement.
  • Select appropriate equipment and machinery for manufacturing operations, considering factors such as performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing.
  • Manage production schedules and coordinate services to maximize productivity.
  • Enforce quality control to reduce waste and conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process specifications.
  • Improve the efficiency of each production process.
  • Evaluate employees’ tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, quality assurance, and engineering, to address manufacturing-related challenges and achieve organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Experience and Requirements
  • Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering required.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial engineering preferred.
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or related field, preferably in a regulated industry such as automotive/aerospace.
  • Ability to use both basic and advanced calculations to determine the current and potential productivity of a process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to understand the business’s needs while making technical recommendations understandable.
  • Must have good communication skills with the ability to implement productivity changes and recommendation to coworkers.
  • Ability to Problem Solve and create viable solutions for a variety of challenges.
  • Must have analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data with the skills to create reports and describe the results to company decision-makers.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Ability to write and implement work instructions, material flow, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Computer skills (AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Evaluate existing and new manufacturing processes to determine the impact on production manning and flow.
  • Ability to guide production team to achieve their goals.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the engineering and production organization for process implementation.
  • Able to break down problems into meaningful parts and come to rational and well-thought-out conclusions.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Interested in process improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to change, effectively manage multiple tasks/projects, and provide timely solutions.
