Job Description

Join the premier surgical center on the East Coast- Virginia Surgical Institute is looking for a self-motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. Responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients in collaboration with VSI Physicians in the most beneficial way for the patient. Provides follow-up care, prescribes and adjusts medications, and documents all care provided.

Demonstrate the ability to discern relationships between medical facts and clinical data; evaluate alternatives, risks and benefits; use appropriate diagnostic procedures and/or therapies; consider patient preferences when making medical decisions; maintain complete and logical notations to the patient file; demonstrate knowledge of clinical sciences and an understanding of complex relationships and/or mechanisms of disease; exhibit the ability to effectively communicate with patients and family members; conduct new patient education.

The candidate must be an independent thinker, have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to multi-task, exhibit self-confidence and remain calm under pressure; must be autonomous and able to make decisions systematically; have excellent organizational skills including being detail oriented, demonstrate a reliable work ethic, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to achieve.
