Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment conducive to efficient operations.
  • Construct test wire harnesses and flight wire harnesses based on specified drawings and designs.
  • Assemble avionics electronics enclosures and wire harnesses.
  • Conduct thorough testing of wire harnesses upon completion to verify performance.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on wire harnesses and avionics electronics to uphold operational integrity.
  • Assist in testing avionics sub-systems, conducting full system tests, and environmental testing.
  • Aid in the installation of wire harnesses and avionics electronics into flight platforms.
  • Contribute to the preparation of test vehicles for flight missions.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in building and repairing wiring harnesses.
  • Familiarity with aerospace connector systems, including D38999 and D369 series connectors.
  • Knowledge of wiring systems utilized in aerospace applications, such as primary hook-up wire, coax, quadrax, and Ethernet.
  • Experience utilizing various crimp tools for wire termination and assembly.
  • Competence with hand and small power tools used in wire harness and avionics electronics enclosure construction.
  • Ability to interpret wiring schematics and harness design drawings effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a capacity for quick learning and adaptation.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate within a team environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with diagnostics and testing tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and general wiring test equipment.
  • Experience with low-voltage electrical control systems.

Desired Experience:

  • Proficiency with high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Experience with solar and battery technology.
