About the Job:

The practice of sonography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical purposes. Sonography integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and care resulting in diagnostic information. A sonographer performs the ultrasound examination that creates the images needed for diagnosis. A sonographer recognizes conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure and exercises independent professional and ethical judgment.


What You’ll Do:

  • Performs ultrasound procedures based on the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission standards (IAC) and the adheres to the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) “Code of Ethics”
  • Serves as Team Leader in the absence of Ultrasound Supervisor.
  • Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols
  • Use independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking.

Who You Are:

  • Experience in vascular scanning, Required
  • Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required
  • Registered in vascular with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (active status), Required
  • OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Required
