We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team in Manchester, CT. The HR Coordinator will support the HR department in daily operations, ensuring the efficient handling of HR tasks such as employee onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures and be comfortable handling sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of orientation materials, employment documentation, and introduction to company policies.
- Administer employee benefit programs and assist employees with enrollment and questions regarding health, retirement, and other benefits.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Coordinate employee training programs and assist in developing training materials.
- Process and verify payroll information in collaboration with the payroll department.
- Assist with performance management processes, including gathering feedback and maintaining performance documentation.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Support the HR team in compliance-related matters, ensuring the organization adheres to labor laws and company policies.
- Organize employee engagement activities, company events, and recognition programs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR Coordinator or similar HR role.
- Familiarity with HR software (e.g., HRIS systems) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and labor laws.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR role, ideally in a coordinator capacity
