Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Preconstruction Manager to join our leadership team. This role is integral to the success of our construction projects, focusing on the critical planning, budgeting, and scheduling phases. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and excel at working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to ensure project goals are met efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to prepare responses to RFPs and RFQs, and participate in client interviews.
  • Attend preconstruction meetings with design teams and project owners to establish clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and related documents to develop a comprehensive understanding of project scope, requirements, and risks.
  • Prepare detailed bid packages, cost estimates, and schedules for all project phases, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction.
  • Propose cost-effective alternative solutions to align with the owner’s budget and objectives.
  • Draft and manage contract qualifications, assumptions, and project documentation.
  • Utilize estimating tools and software, such as Sage Estimating and Procore, to support accurate and efficient project planning.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering, with a minimum of five years of experience in preconstruction estimating.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction principles, practices, and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide innovative, value-driven approaches to preconstruction planning.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset with a strong commitment to excellence.
