Hardware Technician

One of the country's largest financial technology firms is searching for a Hardware Lab Technician to join their Prototype team in Oakland, CA. In this position, you will be responsible for developing digital component models in SolidWorks, reworking and soldering PCBs, and operating the 3D printer, laser cutter, and testing equipment.

This position begins on a 4-month, W2 contract that offers full benefits and the opportunity to extend to long-term employment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform soldering and rework on PCBs
• Operate and maintain 3D printer, laser cutter, and test equipment (OMM, Instron, Drop, Thermal, etc.) to build and test new prototypes
• Develop and modify digital models of components using SolidWorks CAD software
• Maintain and manage all prototype and 3D print materials in the lab
• Update and execute JIRA requests

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience as a lab manager or technician in a consumer electronics field
• Expertise in a hardware lab supporting test, measurement, and prototyping activities
• CAD Software knowledge, SolidWorks preferred
• Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical drawings
• Familiarity with JIRA and Google Suite
