Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate efforts to implement process improvements and enhance quality across manufacturing operations. Analyze current production methods, equipment, and layouts to identify and execute improvements that streamline workflows, boost product quality, and reduce operational costs.
  • Develop performance metrics and auditing tools to ensure that implemented improvements are effective, sustained, and measurable. Drive cost reduction initiatives by managing the FMV savings tracker and coordinating the efforts of the Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Quality teams to deliver on project goals.
  • Champion the integration of information technology solutions throughout the division. Evaluate existing manual data collection methods and implement automated or semi-automated solutions. Design and deploy automated interfaces with systems such as SAP, SAS, and Ignition to reduce data entry errors and improve data accuracy.
  • Establish a comprehensive material and process control system by identifying key process control points, selecting critical data to monitor, determining the most effective measurement methods, and setting control limits and response plans. Collaborate closely with the Quality and Production teams to ensure compliance with the control system.
  • Additionally, take a leadership role in supporting broader division-level initiatives such as long-term strategy development, sustainability efforts, and capital planning. Oversee the Process Engineering team, ensuring coordination across individual projects and providing guidance and support in their respective areas of responsibility.


Education, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Management, or a related technical discipline, with a strong knowledge of management systems, statistics, quality control, and process improvement methodologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment with Foundry experience strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of Supervisory or Management experience of an Engineering team.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives and/or quality system enhancements.
  • Proven ability to influence, drive, and successfully implement process changes and improvements.
