Job Details
Overview:
This role is primarily focused on New Product Development and taking products from concept all the way through to market It involves advanced development and a lot of innovation, as well. If you have developed new products end to end and are interested in that kind of work, this is the perfect opportunity for you
You will design, evaluate, and maintain Electrical/Electromechanical products within the product line as well as lead projects, solve technical challenges, and work with minimal guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
- 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience (MS degree may substitute 1-2 years of experience).
- Expertise in PCB design using EDA software, power electronics, and electrical theory.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to use electrical assembly tools, testing equipment, and measuring devices.
- Skilled in using MS Office and CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
- Comfortable with wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Nice to Haves
- Proficient in embedded software development (C and/or C++).
- Experience with UL and EN/IEC product safety certification processes.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI standards and testing.
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in the development of automation systems or consumer products.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support multiple engineering projects from concept through completion, including certifications.
- Develop and manage New Product Development (NPD) projects with a focus on high-electrical content.
- Take ownership of reducing costs, improving product quality, and meeting deadlines.
- Create and manage product bills of materials (BOM) and detailed engineering drawings for production.
- Provide technical expertise in PCB design, power electronics, and automation.
- Build and test engineering prototypes, circuit boards, and other components to ensure functionality.
- Innovate on consumer-focused and strategic projects, contributing to the development of new technologies.
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards, relevant technologies, and design tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, supporting product categories including commercial induction cooking and corded equipment.
