Partners Personnel is assisting our client with candidates for a Manufacturing Supervisor at their location in Olive Branch MS . This role is onsite and will be overseeing sections of the manufacturing floor. This role includes managing section staff, ensuring efficient processes, workflow, and operation of equipment, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The supervisor will implement production schedules, monitor workflow, and address any issues that arise to ensure timely and quality production. This position is being offered as a direct hire/permanent, salaried role. This position offers great opportunity to someone who has been in a lead or supervisory role for a couple of years and is seeking a 'next step up' or working in a larger facility with more reports and growth potential.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

Assumes responsibility for effectively managing production processes and workflow.

• Implements daily production tasks that optimizes resource utilization and assigns specific duties to staff based on skills and workload.

• Monitors workflow by tracking output to ensure alignment with schedules identifying and addressing production delays or equipment malfunctions. Implements corrective actions an preventative measures to avoid recurrence. Adjusts schedules in response to unforeseen issues or changing priorities.

• Ensures resource availability of necessary materials, tools, and equipment.

• Coordinates with other departments, such as Quality, Procurement, and Inventory to ensure seamless workflow and communicates any production changes or requirements to relevant departments.

Assumes responsibility for compliance with safety and quality standards and drives continuous improvement.

• Monitors adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the production process.

• Evaluates current production process and implements process improvement to increase productivity and reduce costs.

• Implements best practice and lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency.

Assumes responsibility effective staffing, management, and development of area personnel.

• Actively participates in the hiring process to select qualified candidates and conducts department orientation and training sessions for new hires.

• Identifies training needs and provides ongoing training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Encourages team to pursue professional development and certifications.

• Sets clear performance expectations and goals for team members. Conducts regular performance evaluations, provides constructive feedback, and addresses performance issues promptly.

• Fosters a positive and collaborative work environment and resolves conflicts within the team promptly and fairly.

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

•Stay updated on industry regulations and standards. Attend industry conferences, workshops, and training sessions.

•Provide backup support for other managerial roles as needed.


Education/Certification

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification a plus.

Experience Required

Two to three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with supervisory experience preferred.

Required Knowledge

Good understanding of manufacturing processes, techniques, and best practices.

Knowledge of production planning, scheduling and workflow optimization.

Good understanding of equipment setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance.

Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards.

Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety regulations and protocols. Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and accident prevention measures. (Required)

Knowledge of effective team leadership, conflict resolution, performance management, and employee development.

Skills/Abilities

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address production issues.

Ability to analyze data, diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.

Effective communication skills for interaction with team members, other departments and management.

Proficiency in using production management software and systems.
