The Social Media/Marketing Associate will be responsible for the creation, scheduling, and posting of all content to our branded social media platforms, as well as actively engaging with our growing community on a daily basis across Instagram, Pinterest and Tiktok. This role will work closely with the larger Marketing & Communications team to achieve shared objectives. This role will also work closely with our Founder/Creative Director on developing brand identity and voice for the channel. In addition, they will support the ecomm team in all marketing efforts including email marketing, paid social and paid search.

 

The ideal candidate is extremely passionate about social media and has proven experience growing a brand’s identity and community across channels and platforms. Must have a strong eye and taste level for content and photography while also understanding growth and analytics. Must understand both the art and the science of social media and be excited to take full ownership of the channel including calendar planning, ideation of concepts and storytelling, execution of content capture/creation, copywriting of captions, and analysis and reporting of results. This is an exciting opportunity to help craft the brand voice and identity of a fast-growing fashion company on a high-visibility.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Development of brand identity and voice on social media in partnership with Founder/Creative Director, Head of Sales and Marketing and Ecomm Manager.
  • Ownership of social media calendar, planning strategically to align with key dates, cultural happenings, and consumer mindset while aligning with overall Marketing & Communications calendar.
  • Ideation, capture, and scheduling of social content across feeds and Instagram Stories.
  • Copywriting for all social media captions, Instagram Stories and digital marketing.
  • Proactive community management, engagement and growth, interacting with customers and directing customer service inquiries to appropriate teams.
  • Analysis and reporting on all social media content and initiatives to determine success and learnings while providing actionable insights.
  • Identification of brand appropriate social media influencers and content creators for seasonal support.
  • Competitive analysis and research on social media trends and best practices.
  • Strategic input and assistance with larger brand marketing initiatives and events.
  • Support Digital Marketing efforts with asset management, content creation and communication with outside agency.
  • Ecomm Customer Service Support to ensure all customers are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Support sales team with all asset creation, ie. Look books, Line Sheets, etc.
  • Support NYFW or any events and activations - managing all images that come in from photographers and videographer, coverage for prior to show as well as live in feed updates / stories, content capture at the events, creating a content plan, social tagging for sponsors 
  • Ad Hoc projects to support the company’s overall sales and marketing needs.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience in a social media role
  • Extremely fluent in all social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and Pinterest – paid social experience or knowledge a plus
  • Experience with iPhone photography and content creation
  • Exceptional taste level and understanding of contemporary womenswear and the competitive fashion landscape
  • Strong graphic design and copywriting skills with the ability to understand brand voice and adapt as necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once with sense of urgency
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and use discretionary judgment to make solid decisions
  • Strong sense of professionalism and interpersonal skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude, ability to take feedback, and quickly pivot to new directions
