Full Charge Bookkeeper for Professional Services Firm
About the Firm:
- Our client is a mid-sized CPA and Business Consulting firm in NYC with two locations in the tri-state area
- They specialize in a variety of services to an array of customers including high net worth individuals, entertainment, real estate and many more diverse clientele
- They are looking to add a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their growing team and work directly with their clients
- The firm promotes growth from within and if someone is interested in tax for example, they would move them into the position.

Responsibilities of the Full Charge Bookkeeper include:
- Responsible for full cycle accounting duties, including coding and entering vendor expenses, accounts payable and cutting checks, accounts receivable and invoicing clients, bank and credit card reconciliations, inventory posting, payroll processing, journal entry posting, accruals, month-end closing, and preparing monthly and quarterly sales and payroll tax returns.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of client accounts.
- Ability to establish accrual basis accounting books and records including processing Accounts payable and Accounts Receivables.
- Ability to establish cash basis accounting books using cash receipts, cash disbursements and bank feeds.
- Coordinate with the team to prepare, review and file clients W-2s, W-3 and 1099s.
- Assist in registering clients for various state taxes including payroll withholding, unemployment and sales & use
- Fully process payroll through third parties and Internal payroll software.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
- Experience working in a fast paced work environment
- Experience with QuickBooks products as well as working with other accounting systems is a plus
- Payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or others is a plus
- Organized, schedules time effectively, able to multi-task, and think out of the box.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
