Robert Half is seeking a Bookkeeper for our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role involves managing financial records and transactions, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team in the finance industry, working in a fast-paced environment to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
• Prepare and manage invoices, ensuring they are sent and paid in a timely manner
• Handle payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time
• Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
• Use Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data
• Conduct month-end close procedures to finalize financial records for the month
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to financial matters
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Bookkeeper role or similar
• Proficient in account reconciliation and bookkeeping
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Skilled in managing bank reconciliations
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience in handling month-end close activities
• Proficient in managing payroll and payable invoices
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• High level of interpersonal skills and integrity
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
