Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be instrumental in crafting the financial strategy and overseeing operations to promote sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and a successful track record in financial management within the SaaS sector, emphasizing scalability, efficiency, and profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine financial strategies aligned with the company’s business goals while managing financial risks.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial planning, treasury, tax, legal, and auditing.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance team to ensure operational excellence.
  • Prepare reliable and up-to-date financial reports, statements, and cash flow analyses.
  • Drive the company’s financial planning by analyzing performance and risks.
  • Maintain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and proactively address potential issues.
  • Oversee the company’s financial IT systems and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Manage relationships with partners and investors.
  • Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks.
  • Lead efforts to optimize cost structures and enhance revenue streams.
  • Regularly report the company’s financial status and progress to the board and shareholders.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to strategize and solve problems effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent skills in data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g., Intuit).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a focus on leading and empowering others through data-driven mechanisms (e.g., Amazon ‘CFO’ level rigor and experience).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BSc/BA in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role, preferably in a high-growth SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with tech stack: Netsuite, Bill.com, Expensify, Carta, SFDC, Paylocity.
