  • Prepare, submit, and manage FAA waiver applications and other regulatory submissions, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Paladin and the FAA, as well as other regulatory bodies, on matters related to UAV compliance.
  • Stay abreast of changes in FAA regulations and industry standards, interpreting and implementing new rules as necessary to maintain compliance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance documentation, including operational procedures, compliance reports, and training materials.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the R&D, operations, and legal teams to ensure that new technologies and operational practices adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and training to internal teams and clients on FAA compliance matters, promoting a culture of safety and regulatory adherence.
  • Assist in the development of industry standards and best practices for UAV operations, leveraging Paladin's technology and expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace, Law, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in aviation law or management is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aviation compliance, with a strong focus on UAV/Drone regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly Part 107 and 91, and the ability to navigate the regulatory landscape effectively.
  • Experience with the FAA waiver application process and a proven track record of successful submissions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Passion for UAV technology and its potential to impact public safety positively.

Location:

This position is based in Houston, with options for remote working arrangements. Paladin supports a dynamic and collaborative work environment, offering a balance between in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.
