Position Overview:

The Senior Staff Accountant will oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, P&L, cost accounting, and payroll. This position will report directly to the company’s CEO while working with the fractional CFO. As ImageXpert grows, the company envisions the Senior Staff Accountant seeing opportunities for career growth to an Assistant Controller position.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the Accounting month-end close process.
  • Prepare and report monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reports for management, lenders, and investors.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Support the development of benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
  • Produce the annual budget and forecasts, and report significant budget differences to management.
  • Provide financial analysis, emphasizing capital and personnel investments, pricing decisions, product costs, and contract negotiations.
  • Work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audit.


Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • MBA or Masters in Accounting preferred with CPA or CMA designation.
  • A minimum of three years of related experience is required, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Effective leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communications, and time management skills.
