Job Overview:

As Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Coordinator you will join our collaborative corporate accounting and finance team to assist with daily accounting functions and special projects as needed. You will assist with AP/AR transactions, banking functions, cash reconciliation, general ledger transactions & budget review and more.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing invoices in electronic workflow system for approval, ensuring accurate coding and system functionality, and processing checks to release based off cash position
  • Updating expense analysis spreadsheets
  • Vendor communication on open balances and invoice support
  • Reviewing cash receipts for deposit and posting accurately to accounting system based on type of revenue
  • Supporting monthly billing and ACH collection process
  • Depositing checks via check scanner
  • Reviewing bank transactions and cash position- confirming details of all transactions
  • Preparing and post General Ledger adjustments as needed
  • Comparing system reporting relating to AP/ AR functions to historical trends and budgeted variances
  • Updating workpapers and understand how they serve a purpose in the AP/ AR process
  • Reviewing mail & scan (minimal as our department is 85% electronic)
  • Ensuring all invoices are entered in electronic AP workflow system
  • Ensuring all checks received have support for the AR deposits
  • Abstract Audit – Contract Fees
  • Billing review and analysis based off contractual fees

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
  • 0 – 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • AvidXchange experience a plus.
  • Windows knowledge a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills is a must.
  • Possesses personal and professional integrity.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Diligent and self-motivated.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A self-starter who leads by example and who is respected by all levels of employees.

Compensation:

$21.63 - $24.04 / hour
