Role Overview:

The Human Resources Manager builds trust with local and regional employees, serving as both an employee advocate and advisor to management. Key responsibilities include overseeing employment practices, performance management, employee benefits, and compliance with laws such as ADA, FMLA, and Workers' Compensation. This role ensures accurate payroll processing and helps maintain a positive and productive work environment across multiple sites. The HR Manager aligns site-specific HR practices with broader company initiatives to ensure a unified approach to human resources.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations: Maintain an open-door policy for employees and management, addressing grievances, performance issues, and workplace concerns. Conduct investigations and disciplinary actions per company guidelines.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage relationships with employment agencies, recruit candidates, and ensure high-quality onboarding and employee development.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the employee review process and create development and succession plans in collaboration with management.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on and ensure compliance with laws related to harassment, ADA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and risk management. Conduct regular audits and facilitate employee training.
  • Policies & Benefits: Implement and communicate employee policies, offering support on benefits and refining administrative procedures as needed.
  • Payroll: Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of HR experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience with HRIS systems, particularly Paycom.


Skills:

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and comply with employment regulations.
