Equipment Coordinator

Manager Notes:
- This team works onsite pretty much every day.
- Contract only and approved through mid July. Start asap.
- Candidates must have provisioning experience - setting up hardware, virtual machines, etc.
- May also assist with shipping and receiving of laptops and other equipment.
- Looking for PC Tech types that would enjoy shipping and tracking equipment to remote employees across the country.
Description: The Equipment Coordinator is a member of the finance department and is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and set-up of IT equipment to support business needs. This position will work closely with the Asset and Inventory Control team members providing accurate, timely communications to both internal and external customers and prioritize tasks to support the business. The Equipment Coordinator will also manage end of life disposition of equipment as necessary.
Essential Functions
- Will manage repairs and maintenance of all IT assets
- Provide IT equipment setup for corporate office sites
- Troubleshoot and repair computers, phones, headsets and other peripherals when necessary
- Work with other departments to coordinate and organize, prepare, and support equipment needs.
- Respond to ticket, email and telephone support requests
- Adhere to inventory procedures to maintain timely and accurate data
- Maintains accurate record keeping for individual repairs
- Engages with internal and external contacts with a positive attitude
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed
- Lead special projects and implementations as required by management
- Upholds company IT security protocols to ensure adherence to HITRUST policies
- Configure and troubleshoot printing devices
- Provision (Set up) and amend badge access as necessary
- Disposition and track IT assets through EOL and data destruction maintaining certificate of destruction records
- Provide education as needed to users on systems, best practices, and procedures
- Perform system back-ups from returned computers
- Provision (Configure and prepare) equipment weekly for new hire employees
- Provision (Prepare) refresh equipment for existing employees working to industry and company standards
- Provide timely communication to users on status of equipment
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
- Experience troubleshooting computers, phones, headsets and other peripherals
- Experienced in computer hardware, installation, maintenance and repair
- Provide exceptional professionalism and customer service to both internal and external customers
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Be pro-active and take initiative where identified
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Must have good organizational skills
- Strong decision making skills
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 1+ years prior experience troubleshooting and repair of IT equipment is required
