A South Houston multi-national agriculture chemical organization seeks a Supply Chain Manager to join their growing team. The organization is looking for a top notch Supply Chain Manager candidate to add to the management team to assist in their growth plans. The Supply Chain Manager position is a hands-on, onsite role with overall responsibility for the company’s supply chain department. This position has supply chain responsibilities, with three direct reports, in a SME chemical manufacturing environment for global and domestic products, while working closely with other onsite departments and an international sister company. The right individual must be willing to take ownership and dedicate the time needed to complete departmental and company-wide objectives. Must have the aptitude to take the initiative and do what’s best for the department and the company. This individual will have 12+ years of related supply chain process experience and at least 5 years managing in a similar role.

Essential Duties:

  • Leadership of the Supply Chain department, its team and its financial performance.
  • Harmonization and standardization of Supply Chain processes.
  • Collaboration with Management, Sales, Operations and Customer Service teams.
  • Cost and inventory optimization of raw materials and packaging, logistics and warehouse management.
  • Planning and coordination of raw materials and packaging procurement for internal & external production.
  • Oversight of production scheduling and planning.
  • Development of excellent relationships with vendors.
  • Negotiations and contract management.
  • Project management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years work experience related to supply chain responsibilities.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a team manager or leader.
  • Experience in SME production plants (preferably chemical).
  • SAP experience (preferably as a key user).
  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop employees.
  • Proven ability to deliver change and improvement.
  • Planning and scheduling.
  • Warehouse and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of handling dangerous goods.
  • S&OP processes.
  • ISO certification processes.
  • Competent with Excel and other Microsoft software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a track record of fostering a respectful work environment.

This position will pay up to $160k + Bonus.
