Job Title: Supply Chain ManagerCompany: Judge Direct Placement (Representing Chemical Manufacturing Client)Location: Houston, TX 77045Recruiter Contact : Jon Hotchkiss - Jhotchkiss Judge.comPosition SummaryThe Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and ensuring a seamless flow of materials and products within our chemical manufacturing enterprise. This hands-on position requires a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced SME environment, chemical industry is preferred but varying industries will be considered with relevant experience.Key Responsibilities :Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.Oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, scheduling, warehousing, and logistics.Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, providing mentorship and coaching to foster professional growth.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and optimize supply chain processes.Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.Minimum 15 years of experience in supply chain roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership position.Proven track record of delivering results in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry.Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex initiatives.Proficiency in procurement, vendor management, contract management, warehouse and inventory management, planning and scheduling, S&OP processes, and SAP (ideally as a key user).Knowledge of ISO certification standards and their implementation.Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
