Role: Electrical Engineer (Medical Device)

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Duration: 6 Months


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sustaining engineering, electronic component life-cycle management, instrument field
  • complaint investigation and documentation to support these efforts.
  • Root cause analysis tools to troubleshoot various levels of electro-mechanical sub-
  • systems and instruments.
  • Contribute inputs on a diverse cross functional/cross site team and external contract
  • manufacturers and engineers.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of
  • Clients Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the
  • improper performance of their specific job.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred; or equivalent experience/combined
  • education. Generally 3+ years of experience in medical device
  • Conducts measurements specified in test plans, documents and tabulates results, and
  • provides engineering test reports as required.
  • Experience in electronics design for test, manufacturing and assembly with an
  • understanding of design impact on EMC, ESD and Immunity.
  • Basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems and sub-systems.
  • Experience with supporting a lab to ensure procedures are followed, cleanliness
  • standards are applied and lab activities are in compliance with quality procedures.
