The Branch Manager has full responsibility for the performance of the branch and manages all branch employees. This means that the Branch Manager needs to be skilled in people leadership, P&L responsibility and sales management from the people to the customers.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead by example to ensure a culture of safety permeates throughout the company and safety programs, policies and directives are adhered to consistently.
  • Oversee all aspects of branch management with emphasis on Service and Parts departments to meet business and branch profitability goals.
  • Cooperate and collaborate with internal and external customers to achieve excellent customer service.
  • Act as a strategic partner on the leadership team and liaison among different departments to improve operation results.
  • Hire, lead, develop, review, train, and manage branch employees and promote a positive work environment with emphasis on employee morale to achieve high productivity.
  • Effectively manage labor and equipment in the daily operation to comply with company goals.
  • Prepares annual budget and monitors fiscal performance of the branch as compared to budget. Controls branch expenditures and costs.
  • Review and prepare workflows, space requirements/utilization, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and service standards/goals are met daily.
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communication with all corporate associates, branch personnel and distribution associates.
  • Consult with Human Resources and After Sales Leadership regarding personnel issues.
  • Lead and facilitate team meetings to ensure effective communication and motivation at all levels of the organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, finance, economics, or relevant area of study preferred with 2 years of experience or five years’ experience of experience in a leadership role with focus on operations in lieu of education.
  • Experience in the operation of heavy equipment machinery is preferred.
  • Proven strong organizational, leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work with customers, motivate employees and work with internal departments to achieve desired results.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of business operations including Accounting, Credit, Product Support and Sales functions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Speaks and writes clearly and informatively.
  • Able to prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers and employees
  • Works well with other employees, customers, and vendors.
