As a leader in the ET Software Engineering Domain Center of Excellence, you blend deep technical skills and expertise with a passion for superior technical solutions. You are deeply committed to delivering value to our clients. In an agile structure you will partner with other Fidelity leaders to build and evolve consistent practices and standards for the specialized skills and expertise of your CoE, and influence the vision, strategic decisions, solutions, and priorities. You will primarily support tribes, autonomous squads, or initiatives on a time-limited, as needed basis. You are dedicated to helping them grow and develop in their agile capabilities and ensure alignment on the work they perform. You are committed to developing your own agile expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.
As needed, you might operate as a player/coach using your expertise and experience to help advance the work and improve tribe/squad performance.

The Team

The ETGS Software Engineering Excellence COE is responsible for building and sustaining a culture of engineering perfection. We deliver the expertise and capabilities that ensure we clearly define our expectations in the engineering principles, patterns, practices, and processes for how we want to build, operate, function, and continue to improve our level of engineering maturity.

You will work in partnership with leaders aligned to ET SWE chapter areas and Architecture. Cloud and Infrastructure domains.
The mission of the COE is engineering excellence across the business with focus areas on engineering effectiveness, engineering measurement and maturity, engineering innovation and engineering culture and craft.

The Expertise You Have
- Computer Science or Software/Systems Engineering degree preferred.
- 10+ years of engineering/development experience
- Cloud Native Engineering, DevSecOps and Cloud implementation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with current engineering tools and approaches
- Ability to be hands on and build working example solutions.
- Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams
- Agile leadership experience preferred.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
