The LGES-HONDA joint venture is looking for talented people with experience in building/designing/operating data centers and large-scale campus wire/wireless network. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience of Data Center operations, Network connectivity, network services, and Network Security.


Responsibilities:

• Research, recommend and advise the Headquarter Responsible IT Infrastructure Department about IT Infrastructure trends, best practices, and efficiencies

• Establish, refine and maintain the monitoring system of IT Infrastructure to secure the operational continuity of Applications including Manufacturing Execution System & Other Systems

• Continued monitoring and enhancement of operational continuity IT Infrastructure (Network Circuit, Application Server and Clients).

• Continued monitoring and enhancement of information Security (Server Security, Network Security, and Client Security) co-worked with Headquarter.

• Company representative to the Company-Wide IT Infrastructure Council, check company-wide policy directions, and apply to the business site

• Manage IT Investment, IT Expense, IT Assets and IT Helpdesk for the Infrastructure area

• Support Headquarter Common System related to Portal, Groupware and Domain


Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Industrial Engineering or Engineering

- 5-7+ Years of experience in information technology as well as experiences detailed below

- Network Engineer, Server Admin, and Client Management preferred

- Understanding of dedicated lines and internet lines

- Understanding OSI 7 Layer

- Understanding of L2, L3, L4, Firewall, QoS, accelerator, and IP management solution equipment

- Understanding networks at CCNA qualification level

- IT Planning & Operation Management experience

- Experience performing process innovation


Knowledge/Skills:

• Ability to solve problems by proactively collaborating with cross-functional teams on issues

• Self-Directed and ability to work in a diverse workforce.

• The willingness and ability to work flexible hours occasionally to support team

• Participate in remote meetings with LG-Chem Teams as needed

• Effective communication and presentation skills

• MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills

• Bilingual skills, writing and speaking, in English and Korean strongly preferred

• This role requires 5-10% of travel (domestic)
