Job Description: Network Team Lead
Overview:
The Network Team Lead is responsible for the overall management, design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in supporting the critical operations of a fintech/healthcare organization, ensuring the reliable and secure delivery of network services.
Responsibilities
- Team Management: Oversee a team of 3 network engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical direction.
- Network Design and Implementation: Develop and implement network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and data center networks, in alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Network Operations: Monitor and maintain network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal network availability and security.
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate network-related projects, such as the ongoing datacenter upgrade, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience with network virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure).
- Proven track record of managing network projects and teams.

- Experience with SD-WAN and network function virtualization (NFV).
Security: Implement and maintain robust network security measures to protect sensitive data and mitigate risks.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers.
Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies.
