The Human Resources Technician works within the HR Data and Payroll Services division.
Education and Experience Required:
Associate’s degree in public administration, human resource management, or a related field 2 years’ experience in payrollQualifications:
Detail-orientated Demonstrate a high level of accuracy Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills Familiarity with federal and Rhode Island payroll and wage and hour laws is preferred Business and fiscal management acumen, proven HR skills and competencies, and the ability to interpret collective bargaining requirements as they relate to the payroll function is desirablePayroll Technician Responsibilities:
Responsible for the timely and accurate payroll processing for assigned state department(s) with complex work schedules and payroll rules The individual in this position will audit and process timesheets in accordance with time and attendance rules to include complex scheduling, overtime, and a variety of other compensation and incentive payments- **Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.**
