Position Summary:

The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and leading a team of laboratory technicians and scientists. The role requires expertise in laboratory processes, formulation development, and quality control to drive continuous improvement and innovation in product development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise laboratory staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee formulation development and testing to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards within the laboratory environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to support product development and process improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and processes in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement laboratory protocols, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Manage laboratory equipment, ensuring regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Lead investigations and root cause analysis for product or process issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and scientific advancements.
  • Manage laboratory budgets, including purchasing supplies, managing inventory, and controlling costs.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong background in formulation development, quality control, and laboratory best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in laboratory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards in the ink, coatings, or chemical industries is preferred.


Work Environment:

  • This position operates in a laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals and laboratory equipment.
  • The role may require occasional travel to company facilities or industry events.
