Insight Global is seeking to find a talented Information Technology Security Compliance Analyst to join our client's team in Carmel, IN. While NERC knowledge is desirable, it is not a requirement for this position. We are looking for someone who possesses strong critical thinking skills, self-motivation, and excellent communication abilities, both written and oral.


The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing, reviewing, and updating compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust controls framework to mitigate IT compliance risks.
  • Developing control documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify compliance risks, vulnerabilities, monitoring key compliance metrics, and indicators to detect trends and emerging issues.
  • Conducting regular compliance reviews and audits to assess adherence to policies and procedures, identify areas of non-compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Managing compliance incidents and breaches by investigating root causes, implementing corrective actions, and reporting incidents to relevant authorities as required by regulations.
  • Assessing the compliance posture of vendors and third-party partners, including conducting due diligence reviews and monitoring ongoing compliance performance.
  • Ability to identify compliance gaps and develop practical solutions to address them, considering the organization's operational needs and constraints.


In terms of education, experience, and qualifications, we are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, law, computer science, information technology, communications, or a related field.
  • Specific experience within compliance, risk management, cybersecurity, audit, or information security (required).
  • Previous experience in the energy industry (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CIPP, CRISC, CGEIT, CRMA, GRCP, CRCM, or CCEP.
  • Have a solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards applicable to the position including (but not limited to): SOC 1 (Service Organization Controls 1), CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection), Tariff (Open Access Transmission, Energy and Operating Reserve Markets Tariff), NIST CSF (National Institute of Standards and Technology Cyber Security Framework) FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation), U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and NAESB (North American Energy Standards Board)
