Director of Operations

Avoca Search has been exclusively retained by Graves Gilbert Clinic, Bowling Green, Kentucky’s first independent multi-specialty group, to recruit two Director of Operations to lead their multispecialty and surgical clinics. These are two newly created opportunities due to the expansive growth and progression of the organization.
Located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Graves Gilbert Clinic has been serving the communities of South-Central Kentucky for 85 years. The independent practice has grown to over 200 providers representing 30 medical specialties across 30 locations. Founded in 1937, Graves Gilbert Clinic continues to be a leader in medical innovation and technology, making them a preferred provider of choice in the community.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Operations-Multispecialty will lead 5 practices specializing in urology, cardiology, rheumatology, orthopedics, and gastroenterology. The Director of Operations-Surgical will oversee all surgical subspecialty clinics. The Director(s) will serve as an integral leader to drive operational efficiencies while assessing current processes to determine, develop and implement standardized best practices to help the organization achieve both financial and operational goals. The Director(s) will be a collaborative partner to all clinical providers to help ensure high quality patient outcomes, satisfaction, and experience while leading their respective practice management teams to achieve organizational goals and benchmarks.
Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated track record of leading group practice operations in either multispecialty or surgical services with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with progressive responsibility in physician practice management. Proven ability to drive efficiency, clinical outcomes, and quality while effectively communicating with executive leaders, providers, and staff. A bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare or related field is required. A master’s degree in healthcare or business administration is highly preferred.
