Tool and Die Maker

We are seeking multiple skilled Tool and Die Makers with expertise in TIG welding, strong mechanical abilities, and excellent problem-solving skills. This role involves manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining progressive dies, and supporting production through tooling repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform die maintenance using tool room equipment and hand tools.

· Conduct center drilling, reaming, lapping, tapping, countersinking, and counter boring.

· Machine parts to blueprint specifications.

· Fabricate and repair production dies.

· Replace die sections as needed.

· Make in-press tooling repairs.

· Document department data.

· Operate hi-lo and crane for die transportation.

· Perform other assigned duties.

Education & Experience:

· Journeyman status or equivalent on-the-job experience.

· Minimum of 5 years related experience.

Skills:

· Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in blueprint reading.

· Knowledge of machining, tool steel, metal fabrication, and machine repair.

· Ability to operate metrology instruments, grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, optical comparator, and EDM machine.

· Competence in calculating speeds, feeds, and performing machine offsets.

· Adequate computer and math skills.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Licensure:

· Hi-lo and crane certification required.

· Journeyman status or accredited certificate required.
