We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Financial Associate to join our team in Old Town Scottsdale. This role is critical in driving Sleepyhead’s financial and operational success, offering ample opportunities for career growth as we reach new markets and expand our product offerings.


Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Support financial planning, forecasting, and analysis by compiling and interpreting data to drive strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including P&L statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets, to provide insights into Sleepyhead’s financial health.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process, analyzing data to ensure alignment with strategic goals and operational needs.


Accounts Management and Compliance

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of invoices, payments, and other transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including preparation of sales tax filings through platforms like TaxJar.
  • Assist in audits and other compliance processes by compiling necessary data and documentation.


Operational Support

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve financial tools, such as QuickBooks Online and Excel, to support ongoing reporting and data analysis.
  • Conduct data entry, analysis, and reporting for various departments, contributing to consistent financial insight across Sleepyhead.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles, preferably in an e-commerce.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables and financial modeling; familiarity with QuickBooks Online is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance, especially within e-commerce finance operations.
