Design Readiness Engineer

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of electromechanical R&D engineering experience, with at least 5 years in the medical device industry.
  • Proven experience in design transfer/new product introduction.
  • In-depth knowledge of design verification for complex medical devices.
  • Extensive experience in transferring design to manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFT (Design for Testing).
  • Experience with firmware and software within electromechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of PCBAs, including design, testing, and documentation.
  • Proficiency with statistical tools and software such as Minitab and MATLAB.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office and SolidWorks.

Skills :

  • Ability to execute assigned projects and duties with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience in off-the-shelf component selection for regulated industries.
