About the Role
This role is supporting Inventory and Capital Work at Scranton Wastewater. This role will assist production and field operations with inventory control and operations support. The percentage of time spent performing the key accountabilities of the job may vary based on the manager, departmental or functional unit needs.
Responsibilities
- Management of our critical spares in the treatment plant to ensure compliance and result in quality CAPEX expenditures
- Management of the MRP inventory to maintain tolerance with OPEX and CAPEX budgets
- Maintain part numbers and vendor contacts for equipment in the plant, pump stations, CSO tanks and collection system
- Issue Purchase orders for equipment and spare parts as they are consumed
- Organize and maintain inventory so we know where equipment is located
- Assist with collecting GPS points for capital projects
- Manage the restoration process and ensure projects are restored in a timely fashion reducing customer complaints
- Manage the Safety inventory, including PPE, ladder inspections, hoist inspections and confined space equipment
- City and state permits
- New connection tracking
- CSO reports (Combined Sewer Overfow)
- Compiling reports and analyzing data as necessary
- Inventory level control for operations and collections, including MRP tasks, counts, and spot checks
- Assist in ordering process of materials (As A Backup Person)
- GIS points for emergency / planned repair projects
- As-built documentation in Mapcall
- Pave Cut Verification and tracking
- Job site observation / coordination assistance
- Attend / participate in jobsite meetings with contractors / utility owners
- Perform other duties as requested
Knowledge/Skills
- Knowledge of Engineering concepts and their application: water system equipment water system operations, company policies and procedures and government safety and labor regulations.
- Strong knowledge of computers, in-depth knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications and other pertinent software.
- Experience in engineering design, construction management and operations of waterworks facilities including distribution systems piping, tanks, pump stations, pressure reducing stations with related equipment, controls and SCADA systems, and data collection and leak detection technologies.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
- Effective problem solving skills.
Qualifications/Experience
- Two year (post secondary) technical degree or apprenticeship preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in inventory control and operations support.
- 3-5 years experience in inventory control and operations support is preferred.
Travel Requirements
PA Driver's License required, will drive to different site locations using work vehicle

This role is onsite from Monday- Friday, 7am - 3pm EST
