Company Overview:

Filos Health Laboratory is an early-stage, high-growth healthcare lab based in Dallas, Texas. We are High Complexity CLIA certified and COLA accredited, providing top-notch laboratory services with both government and commercial insurance support. As we aim to expand our operations and enhance our market presence, we seek a dedicated Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) to join our dynamic team.


Position Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Chief Business Development Officer with deep knowledge and experience in investor relations and business development within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in securing funding from angel investors or venture capitalists to support our growth and operational needs. This role demands a strategic leader who can drive business growth, foster investor relations, and navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investor Relations: Identify, engage, and secure funding from angel investors and venture capitalists to ensure the company's financial stability and growth.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, insurance companies, and industry associations.
  • Market Expansion: Drive market expansion initiatives to enhance the company’s footprint and service offerings in the healthcare sector.
  • Business Strategy: Formulate and execute business development strategies that align with the company’s growth objectives and market opportunities.
  • Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee the operational aspects of business development, ensuring seamless integration with the company’s overall operations.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies and initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Represent Filos Health Laboratory in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build the company’s reputation and brand.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business development, with a strong background in the healthcare or biotech industry.
  • Investor Relations: Proven track record of successfully securing funding from angel investors and venture capitalists.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing team.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the healthcare market, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and implement strategic business development plans.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Local Expertise: Preferably based in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area with established local networks.


Compensation:

At this time, we are offering a vested 2-3% of the preferred equity of the company. As we secure additional funding, we will initiate full compensation and benefits.
