Your Role


Reliability and Failure Analysis (75%)

  • Develop and implement reliability protocols, including burn-in, HAST, HALT, and multi-cell tests, to support product development and qualification.
  • Conduct failure analysis to determine root causes and recommend process improvements.
  • Analyze device performance and correlate results with design inputs to enhance reliability.
  • Manage qualification stress testing (e.g., lifetime, environmental, ESD) to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and program managers on new product development, packaging, and testing processes.
  • Provide regular updates through presentations, internal reviews, and reports.


Technical Program Support (25%)

  • Monitor and advance laser diode performance through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to patent applications and represent the company at industry events.
  • Manage program milestones and report key metrics to stakeholders.


Your Skills and Background

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science (8+ years) or Ph.D. (3+ years) in a laser/laser diode environment.
  • Expertise in Gallium Nitride (GaN) material systems and failure analysis strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in laser diode testing and reliability stress (e.g., LIV, spectra, temperature cycling).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (JMP, Minitab, Python) and semiconductor device physics.
